Last week, my dad sent me a picture message (yes, my dad uses Verizon multimedia messaging!) that made me smile. It was of a jar I painted for him a long time (maybe 1992?) ago for Father's Day — a jar he keeps on his desk to this day, filled with pencils, pens and other odds and ends.

"Remember this? Reminds me of you every day at work."
Happy (belated) Father's Day, Dad. I love you.

That is so sweet!!! My dad put our *inspired* gifts in a box in his closet :) Fortunately we have forgiven him and had a great Father's Day Wii bowling together.
Haha. PLT, I'm sure my dad closeted lots of my "inspired gifts" along the way. I would guess that with four kids and three step-children, it's hard to display them all! :)
